Although the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province has issued a document directing strict inspection, many illegal constructions under Binh Than bridge (Van Ninh commune, Gia Binh district) are still blatantly operating.
According to VietNamNet reporters on August 14, a series of illegal constructions such as yards, factories, pig farms and unlicensed concrete mixing stations are still operating openly under Binh Than Bridge. These constructions are built on agricultural land, affecting the flood escape corridor.
Mr. Vu Van Quang - Vice Chairman of Van Ninh Commune People's Committee said: Illegal construction works under Binh Than bridge have been going on for many years. The entire area under Binh Than bridge is agricultural land, but is currently being used for the wrong purpose.

Previously, as VietNamNet reported, at the foot of Binh Than Bridge (Bac Ninh), there were a series of constructions such as yards, factories, pig farms and illegal concrete mixing stations built on agricultural land. Immediately after the reflection, on July 19, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province sent a document to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requesting an inspection of the constructions here.
The document clearly states: VietNamNet Newspaper on July 18, 2024 published an article "A series of illegal constructions surround the thousand-billion-dong bridge in Bac Ninh", the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to check the information reflected by the newspaper; handle it according to regulations, and report back to the Provincial People's Committee.
Regarding the progress of handling violations, VietNamNet reporters have scheduled meetings with the authorities of Bac Ninh province but have not received any response.
