School calendar and opening calendar for the 2024 - 2025 school year

On August 1, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT on the regulation of the 2024 - 2025 school year time plan framework for preschool education, general education and continuing education, including the school opening calendar and the 2024 - 2025 school year opening calendar . Specifically:

- Return to school at least 1 week before the opening day.

For grade 1 , school starts at least 2 weeks before the opening day.

- Opening ceremony on September 5, 2024.

Thus, according to the above timeline of Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT in 2024, in the 2024-2025 school year, students nationwide (except grade 1 students) will return to school at the earliest 1 week before the opening day (ie August 29, 2024).

As for first graders, they will return to school at least 2 weeks before the opening day (ie August 22, 2024) .

Timeline of the 2024 - 2025 school year

- Opening ceremony on September 5, 2024.

- Finish semester I before January 18, 2025, complete the program and end the school year before May 31, 2025.

- Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and consider recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30, 2025.

- Complete enrollment for first grade classes before July 31, 2025.

- The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025.

- Other national exams are organized according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
