There were 2 district-level units, Lao Cai city and Bat Xat district, which completed the survey the earliest, while Muong Muong district, the last locality in the province, also completed the survey at 9:30 p.m. on August 9.

According to the assessment, the investigation and information collection work was carried out by the Investigators in accordance with the correct procedures, the information collected was accurate and of good quality; the investigation team leaders and supervisors at the provincial and district levels regularly inspected and closely supervised the assigned areas and provided timely support and handled any situations that arose during the investigation.

Although it is the harvest season, farmers are concentrating on the fields, so the investigation and information collection are facing many difficulties. However, the progress of the investigation and information collection on the socio-economic situation of 53 ethnic minorities is not affected; taking advantage of lunch breaks and evenings, the team of investigators across the province has actively carried out their tasks with the goal of obtaining the most updated and accurate information and data as required.
