In recent days, leaders of parties and countries have continued to send letters and telegrams congratulating Comrade To Lam on the occasion of his election as General Secretary.

According to the Vietnamese Mission to the United Nations, on August 6, the Communist Party of the United States of America (CPUSA) sent a congratulatory message to the Communist Party of Vietnam on the occasion of President To Lam's election as General Secretary of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. CPUSA emphasized that in his career, in many leadership positions at all levels, Comrade To Lam has focused on the balance between economic growth, social justice and improving the quality of life for the Vietnamese people; affirming his belief that in his position as General Secretary and President, Comrade To Lam will continue to contribute to firmly consolidating the foundation for the cause of building socialism in Vietnam and continuing the great achievements of the Communist Party of Vietnam. On this occasion, CPUSA expressed its desire to continue to deepen the close relationship between the two parties on the path towards the common goals of peace, democracy and socialism.

* In his congratulatory letter, Chairman of the United Russia Party Dmitry Medvedev expressed his belief that with his extensive political experience and high professionalism, General Secretary and President To Lam will effectively contribute to the socio-economic development and independent foreign policy of Vietnam; and that the relationship between the United Russia Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam will continue to be further strengthened for the benefit of the people of the two countries. The congratulatory letter of Chairman of the Just Russia Party SMMironov affirmed his wish to continue to strengthen constructive dialogue between the Just Russia Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam to support the development of the Russia-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

* President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol, on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Korea, sincerely congratulated Comrade To Lam on his election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. President Yoon Suk Yeol affirmed that under the leadership of General Secretary and President To Lam, Vietnam will continue to achieve brilliant development and raise Vietnam's international position to new heights.

* Chairman of the Central Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas affirmed that President To Lam's election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam is clear evidence of the entire Party's trust in President To Lam in his role of leading Vietnam towards new horizons of progress and prosperity.
