On August 12, information from the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee said that the unit has assigned tasks to departments and branches to strive to achieve the set targets by the end of 2024.

In the first 7 months of the year, besides the achieved results, Kon Tum province recognized some limitations, weaknesses, difficulties and challenges such as: State budget revenue, disbursement rate of public investment capital, and construction of communes meeting new rural standards have not ensured the set progress.

As of June 30, 2024, project investors in Kon Tum have disbursed more than 617/2,298 billion VND, reaching 26.8% of the 2024 capital plan. Compared to the national average disbursement rate of 28.77%, Kon Tum province is still at a low level.

Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee requested investors to focus on disbursing public investment capital and national target programs, speed up investment decisions, and select contractors for projects and works expected to start construction...

The District People's Committee, project management board and investment departments need to promptly transfer capital from projects with low disbursement rates to projects with better disbursement capacity, striving to disburse at the highest level.

To avoid illegal capital advances causing loss of state assets, units need to manage closely and effectively, and use advanced capital for the right purposes and for the right subjects.

If not all are recovered, the case file will be transferred to the Inspectorate, Police, or even filed in court.

Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and agencies to speed up the progress of the project to study the possibility of establishing Mang Den Airport in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; and the general planning for the construction of Mang Den Tourist Area (Kon Plong district) to stimulate tourism.
