On the afternoon of April 29, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Tourism Association (KITA) held a workshop to introduce artificial intelligence equipment and technology for the tourism industry towards APEC 2027.

At the workshop, delegates were introduced by Loca AI Technology Joint Stock Company to an ecosystem of language support products specifically optimized for Vietnamese users. This platform combines new generation AI technology, flexible software and smart hardware devices entirely researched and developed by a team of Vietnamese engineers.

Representatives of Loaca AI Technology Joint Stock Company introduced 5 products. First is the smart translation server device that replaces the traditional cabin interpretation system at conferences, reducing operating costs and improving efficiency.

Next is the AI ​​translation speaker for meeting rooms that supports businesses to communicate directly with international partners at the office or when working abroad, ensuring smooth bilingual dialogue.

In addition, there is also translation software integrated with an online meeting platform that allows users to listen, speak and translate directly when meeting online with partners from more than 100 countries without the need for an interpreter.

In addition, a multilingual call center translation solution that automatically receives and responds to international guests in the native language, helping businesses expand their markets without having to set up branches abroad, is also introduced, allowing tourists to contact authorities when encountering problems in the locality they are traveling to.

For tour guides, a shoulder speaker that allows simultaneous commentary in multiple languages, allowing tourists to listen using their own device in the language of their choice, will be a suitable choice for them while leading international groups.

Finally, smart glasses and AI office assistants are capable of listening, understanding, translating and memorizing meeting content, supporting users in multitasking with just their voice.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, said that the solutions proposed at the workshop do not only stop at introducing and promoting Phu Quoc in particular and Kien Giang in general at the upcoming APEC conference, but also have a longer-term and more sustainable impact.

Mr. Phong affirmed that this is not only for leaders or businesses with expertise, technology, and skills, but also for ordinary people.

"After this workshop, I have a lot of confidence, not only in thinking but also in practice. With the application of AI, it is no longer difficult for each citizen to become a tourism ambassador," said Mr. Phong.
