Launching the program of experiencing tourism on the Vietnam - China border river

On April 29, on the Vietnam-China border river, leaders of Mong Cai City (Vietnam) and Dongxing City (China) attended the launch of the border river tourism experience program. This is a meaningful event, part of a series of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, the year of Vietnam-China humanities exchange, and the 10th anniversary of signing the friendship city agreement between Mong Cai City and Dongxing City.

Leaders of Mong Cai City (Vietnam) and Dongxing City (China) held a launching ceremony for the Vietnam-China border river tourism experience program.

With the unique advantage of ecological resources from the border river and adjacent sea area between Vietnam and China, based on the common perception of the senior leaders of the two Parties, two States, two provinces - Quang Ninh - Guangxi, the two sides join hands to build and develop a new border tourism brand, bearing the unique mark of Mong Cai (Vietnam) and Dongxing (China) - border river tourism.

This direction focuses on the connection between sea and land, harmonizing culture and tourism, bringing unique experiences to visitors. On the journey along the border river, visitors can admire the beauty of both countries, enhance bilateral tourism attraction, and contribute to building a community of shared future of strategic significance between Vietnam and China from the local level.

Both sides — Through the launch of the border river tourism experience program, tourism associations and businesses on both sides will continue to coordinate, promote connections, cooperation, and accompany each other in building and developing sustainable border tourism.

Over the past years, Mong Cai City (Vietnam) has become one of the major tourist centers of Quang Ninh province, a key point connecting with Dongxing City (China) and ASEAN countries, while developing tourism products with strong border characteristics, leaving its own mark on the regional tourism map.

At the ceremony, Mr. Ho Quang Huy, Chairman of Mong Cai City People's Committee (Vietnam) and Mr. Li Jian, Mayor of Dongxing City People's Government (China) jointly launched the program, officially starting the experience program by cruise ship on the Vietnam - China border river.
