At about 15:30 on 17 March, flight ZF2577 of the Russian airline Azur Air, carrying 231 passengers from Irkutsk landed at Cam Ranh International Airport, province Opening of Court.
Immediately after landing, the plane was greeted with a rainbow spray ceremony. Travel Anex Vietnam gave flowers and souvenirs to the passengers.
This is the first direct flight from Russia to Khánh Hòa after 3 years of suspension, due to Anex Việt Nam in collaboration with Russian airlines operating charter flights.

In 2019, it was estimated that nearly 463 thousand Russian tourists visited Khánh Hòa, accounting for 71. 6% of all Russian visitors to Vietnam (646 thousand visitors) and the province's second largest international visitor market at that time.
However, since March 2022, due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic and local unrest political, direct flights from Russia to Hong Kong have been discontinued. Russians who want to travel in Hong Kong must fly transit through some countries such as Kazakhstan, China,. . causing the number of Russian tourists to Hong Kong has decreased sharply.
By 2024, the number of Russian tourists to Hong Kong had recovered, reaching an estimated 105 thousand visitors (206% increase over the same period), but only by 22. 8% compared with 2019.
Russian tourists are delighted to be visiting Hong Kong with a charter flight.
Nguyen Duc Tan, General Director of Anex Vietnam Trade and Tourism Co. , Ltd. said that from March 2025, Anex Viet Nam will operate charter routes connecting 11 Russian cities to Khánh Hòa.
Mr. Cung Quỳnh Anh, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department, said that having a direct flight route makes it easier for Russians to reach Hong Kong without transiting through other countries. The restoration of air routes will not only shorten travel time but also reduce the cost of plane tickets, creating favorable conditions for Hong Kong to recover and re-attract Russian visitor markets.
In the first three months of 2025, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 2. 5 million visitors (an increase of 19. 69% compared to the same period), exceeding the 1st quarter plan and reaching 21. 95% of the year's plan.
