On the afternoon of August 10, Khanh Son District People's Committee organized a delicious fruit contest, displaying artistic fruits and traditional handicrafts. The program is part of the activities at the 3rd Khanh Son Fruit Festival in 2024 (taking place from August 10 to 13).

At the program, 8 communes and towns in the district brought to the contest many delicious local fruits such as Dona durian (Monthong durian), Ri6 durian, green-skinned grapefruit, mangosteen, Thai rambutan, night-blooming banana, purple sugarcane, tangerine, and jackfruit.

Not only that, visitors attending the Khanh Son Fruit Festival were amazed when seeing the super large specialty fruits of Khanh Son such as: Ri6 durian, Dona durian weighing 5kg or more/fruit or super large grapefruit weighing 2.5kg or more/fruit.

In addition, localities in the district also brought many “works” of art created from their delicious fruits to display at the contest. At this contest, many traditional handicraft products of Khanh Son district such as baskets, crossbows, chapi, and rice wine were also introduced to visitors from near and far.

According to the organizers of the fruit festival, the purpose of this competition is to help farmers from 8 communes and towns in the area introduce their delicious and typical fruits and encourage gardeners to grow and apply scientific and technical advances in the production process to create delicious fruit products to serve the needs of the market.
