On August 14, the Ministry of Education and Training sent a document to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on strengthening the direction and implementation of a number of contents in preparation for the 2024-2025 school year.

In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct the Department of Education and Training to guideeducational institutions to effectively organize a number of activities at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.

Schools clean their schools, classrooms, and campuses to be clean, beautiful, and safe; have slogans to welcome the new school year and demonstrate their determination to successfully carry out the tasks of the new school year; prepare carefully and be ready in all aspects for the opening ceremony to truly be a festival for the whole nation to bring children to school, a festival for teachers and students, and at the same time attract the attention and support of the people and the whole society.

Regarding welcoming students at the beginning of the school year and organizing the opening ceremony of the new school year, the Ministry of Education and Training requested provinces and cities to guide educational institutions in organizing activities to welcome students at the beginning of the school year, with special attention paid to first graders.

Educational institutions strictly implement regulations on the time students return to school and organize the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year uniformly nationwide on the morning of September 5, 2024.

The opening ceremony is organized in a concise manner, suitable to the reality and conditions of the locality and school, including two parts:
