The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directed the People's Committee of Giao Thuy district to continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, focusing on production and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.

* In recent times, Giao Thuy district has mobilized the participation of the entire political system from the district to the grassroots level and the consensus and joint efforts of the people. Thanks to that, the rural appearance of Giao Thuy district has changed significantly, with clear changes in most areas: The economy has developed quite well, many production models, linkage models, and the application of scientific and technological advances have brought high economic efficiency; essential infrastructure is increasingly spacious and modern; the fields of culture, health care, and education have developed comprehensively.

Basic traditional cultural values ​​are gradually restored, preserved, promoted, forming a bright - green - clean - beautiful new rural community; the grassroots political system continues to be strengthened and consolidated; security, order and social safety in rural areas are maintained; people's material and spiritual life is increasingly improved, and village solidarity is aroused.

In the period 2010-2020, 100% of the district’s communes met new rural standards. Since then, the district has continued to focus on implementing the criteria for advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas.

Up to now, the district has had 18/20 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards; 2/2 towns of Ngo Dong and Quat Lam (100%) have been recognized as meeting civilized urban standards. 14/20 communes have met model new rural standards, of which Giao Phong commune is being selected by the Central Government to pilot the model of "Smart new rural commune".
