According to the decision, the Hanoi Eye Hospital will be reorganized based on the merger of Hanoi Eye Hospital and Ha Dong Eye Hospital under the Department of Health with the name: Hanoi Eye Hospital. The hospital's headquarters is at 37 Hai Ba Trung, Trang Tien Ward, Hoan Kiem District and the facility is at 2D, Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Quang Trung Ward, Ha Dong District.

Hanoi Eye Hospital is a grade II specialized hospital with a total of 250 beds, of which the headquarters and facilities each have 125 beds.

The City People's Committee assigned the Director of the Department of Home Affairs to coordinate with the Department of Health and relevant departments, branches and sectors to organize the implementation of this decision in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Director of the Department of Health directs the Director of Hanoi Eye Hospital (before reorganization), Ha Dong Eye Hospital, relevant agencies and units under the Department to compile statistics on the number of current employees, workers, operating expenses, equipment, offices, records, books, vouchers, documents, debts and other rights and obligations... related to the organization and operation of Hanoi Eye Hospital (before reorganization) and Ha Dong Eye Hospital to hand over to Hanoi Eye Hospital (after reorganization) in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Director of Hanoi Eye Hospital (after reorganization) completes the leadership and management positions of departments, specialized departments, and units according to authority and decentralization; develops specific regulations on the functions, tasks, and powers of departments, divisions, and the hospital's working regulations; develops a project on job positions and an autonomy project to report to competent authorities for consideration and decision. At the same time, inherits all relevant rights and obligations of Hanoi Eye Hospital (before reorganization) and Ha Dong Eye Hospital; works with Hanoi City Police to carry out procedures to withdraw the seal of Ha Dong Eye Hospital and carve a new seal for Hanoi Eye Hospital in accordance with regulations. During the reorganization period, Hanoi Eye Hospital (before reorganization) and Ha Dong Eye Hospital are allowed to continue using the seal in accordance with regulations.

Regarding the transitional provisions, the number of Deputy Directors of the Hospital, deputy heads of departments, divisions, and units currently under the hospital will be temporarily maintained, and the above-mentioned leadership positions will only be added when the number is less than the prescribed number. The rearrangement and reassignment of the number of deputies to ensure compliance with regulations will be carried out within a maximum period of 3 years from the date of reorganization according to authority and decentralization.

For those who have been appointed to the positions of head, deputy head of departments, offices and equivalent, after reorganization, they cease to hold the leadership position or are appointed to a new position with a lower leadership position allowance than the old leadership position allowance, they are entitled to reserve the leadership position allowance, applied according to the provisions of Decision No. 140/2009/QD-TTg dated December 31, 2009 of the Prime Minister.

This Decision takes effect from August 7, 2024; all provisions contrary to this Decision are hereby repealed.
