Press conference on the organization of the 9th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province

Mr. Pham Trieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, Mr. Huynh Minh Hai, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Lam Dong province chaired the conference, with the participation of leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, central and local press agencies.

It is known that with the Congress theme "Solidarity - Democracy - Consensus - Aspiration - Development", the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province is expected to take place in 2 days from August 15 - 16, 2024. This is an important political event of the province, attracting the attention of many people from all walks of life.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Trieu, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, emphasized that up to now, the preparation work for the 9th Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lam Dong province for the 2024-2029 term has received the attention, direction and regular guidance of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the close coordination and support of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and branches of the province.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province has proactively and actively implemented the work with utmost focus and urgency, ensuring the content, requirements and progress according to the directives and instructions of the Central Government, the province and according to the set plan.

Up to now, Lam Dong province has 785 projects, products, and tasks to welcome the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Lam Dong province for the 2024-2029 term, implemented by all levels, sectors, and people from all walks of life, worth more than 290 billion VND.

The congress is expected to welcome 440 delegates, including 320 official delegates representing social classes, strata, ethnic groups, religions, etc. in the province. Of these, 83 are female delegates, accounting for 25.9%; 105 are non-Party delegates, accounting for 32.8%; 80 are ethnic minorities, accounting for 25%; 97 are religious followers, accounting for 30.3%; 29 are economic sectors, accounting for 9.1%; 97 are full-time Front officials at all levels, accounting for 30.3%. There are 25 young delegates, accounting for 7.93%; the oldest delegate is 94 years old; the youngest delegate is 28 years old.

Mr. Pham Trieu hopes that during the congress, as well as before and after the congress, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province hopes that central and local news agencies and newspapers will step up propaganda about response activities, emulation movements, and key contents before and after the congress for the people to know.
