On the morning of August 10, leading experts presented 30 reports and discussed smart healthcare and specialized healthcare development strategies in Thu Duc City.
On August 10, Thu Duc City People's Committee organized the 1st International Scientific Conference - 2024 with the theme "Smart healthcare, strategy for developing specialized healthcare in the present and future".
Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Ky Phung, Vice Chairman of Thu Duc City People's Committee, said that in 2022, Thu Duc City People's Committee issued the Project "Developing Thu Duc City's healthcare system in the period of 2021-2030 associated with the application of high technology, specialized techniques and modern biomedical science", aiming to effectively protect, care for and improve people's health, cover high-quality healthcare services, innovate on the basis of database and application of science and technology.
The first international scientific conference with 30 reports from leading experts aimed to specify the above objectives, programs and projects. Discussion sessions focused on the fields of infection control, infectious disease control strategies, innovative information technology applications in digital transformation to develop smart healthcare, the fields of internal medicine, surgery, biomedical engineering, clinical psychology... attracting more than 500 delegates.
Comrade Nguyen Ky Phung emphasized that these are important contents for the healthcare system and people in Thu Duc City, contributing to building Thu Duc City into a smart, creative urban area with good quality of life, civilized - modern - humane, developing rapidly and sustainably.
At the conference, medical facilities introduced and updated advanced medical techniques, scientific and technological applications in treatment, and key in-depth medical research projects as the foundation for the overall development strategy of smart medicine and specialized medicine. At the same time, it contributed to the development of high-quality medical human resources, responsibility to patients, dynamism and creativity, and maximizing the professional efficiency of Thu Duc City's healthcare in the future.
On this occasion, medical units in Thu Duc City signed a joint plan to implement the contents of the Project "Developing Thu Duc City's healthcare system in the period of 2021-2030 associated with the application of high technology, specialized techniques and modern biomedical science", achieving the goal of forming a high-tech medical center.
Thu Duc City's health care system includes a system of facilities providing services, management, medical training, disease prevention, medical examination and treatment, scientific research, state management of health, under the management of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, departments under the Ministry of Health and related ministries and branches. Notable in the health care system are 3 grade 1 hospitals, 3 grade 2 hospitals, military and civilian hospitals under the Ministry of National Defense , 3 private hospitals, 32 medical stations, 453 clinics, 750 pharmacies...
