On the evening of August 1, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (GDO) held the opening ceremony of the 14th Military Television Festival at the Viet Bac Folk Music, Dance and Singing Theater (Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province).

The 15 members of the Jury are highly reputable experts and journalists in the field of television at the Central and provincial levels, divided into three sub-committees: Reportage Jury, Documentary - Science and Education Jury, and Column Jury.

Major General Nguyen Kim Ton, Director of the Military Radio and Television Center, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the first Army Television Festival held in Thai Nguyen City is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, and the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army General Staff's Traditional Day.

Hundreds of quality works from agencies and units throughout the army have helped spread confidence and pride in the strength to protect the Fatherland and the love and affection for Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Festival, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, emphasized: The works participating in the Festival are all elaborately invested, have profound content and high artistic value.

These are works of art, with new and creative ideas that have been nurtured and created over the past 2 years, promising to contribute to making the Festival more rich, lively, high-quality and attractive, spreading widely among cadres, soldiers and people.

Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh also requested the Organizing Committee and the Jury to contribute their full sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, impartiality and objectivity to the overall success of the Festival.
