( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of August 7, in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee of the 2024 Military-level Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation held a conference of the Organizing Committee and the Jury for the Final Round of the 4th Military-level Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2024. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc, Director of the Propaganda Department (General Department of Politics), Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest chaired the conference.

2024 is the fourth year that the Political Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation has been launched throughout the army. The contest is a practical and meaningful activity to concretize Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation, the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 11th Military Party Congress.

According to the Summary Report on the implementation results of the Contest in agencies and units under the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, after the General Department of Politics and the Organizing Committee of the Contest issued the guidance plan and rules of the Contest, the Party committees and commanders of agencies and units throughout the army paid attention to leading and directing the launch and extensive implementation of the Contest from the regimental level and equivalent units to the level directly under the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to ensure seriousness and strictness. The number of works participating in the Contest is diverse and rich in all types of journalism; the authors and groups of authors have closely followed the theme and selected appropriate content. After the Contest, the agencies and units organized a summary, evaluation, experience drawing, and awarding to collectives and individuals with good quality entries; at the same time, selected and upgraded works to participate in the contest at the army level.

The units have implemented the Contest at their level with good results with nearly 125,000 works (newspapers, magazines, radio, video clips); 872 works (771 newspaper and magazine works; 101 radio, television, video clips) were selected to participate in the military-level contest. Many authors and groups of authors have works with reasonable structure, tight and convincing explanations; have elaborate research, choose topical topics, discover many new issues, have high combativeness, directly fight and criticize wrong and hostile viewpoints and ideologies against the Party, State, Army and the revolutionary cause of the Party.

Compiling the results of the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee unanimously selected 354 works (253 newspaper and magazine works and 101 radio, television and video clip works) for the final round. The Standing Office selected 230 works with the highest results scored by the preliminary round jury (170 newspaper and magazine works; 60 radio, television, video and clip works) to report to the Head of the General Department of Politics, to send to participate in the national competition.

At the conference, after the Secretariat announced the results of the Final Round, the Council discussed, evaluated and highly agreed with the results. Based on the results of the Contest and the final scores of the works, the Organizing Committee unanimously proposed to award Certificates of Merit to 15 groups with outstanding achievements. Awarded certificates of A, B, C prizes and encouragement to 100 authors and groups of authors in all categories.
