From 8:00 a.m. on August 8, the 8.5km elevated section from Nhon to S8 station (Cau Giay) of urban railway line No. 3 (metro) Nhon - Hanoi station, officially began commercial operation to serve passengers. During the first 15 days of commercial operation, all passengers will be served with free one-way tickets (trip tickets).
A representative of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) said that single-trip tickets are used using circular tokens. On the face of the token is an image of Khue Van Cac - the symbol of Hanoi.

MRB explains that the token is black to avoid shadows affecting the readability of the ticket vending machine (TVM) or ticket gate.
With the AFC automatic ticket collection system, when arriving at any station of the route, passengers can choose to buy many types of cards and tickets. Next, passengers will go through the gate which is operated by the automatic control system. If the card or ticket is valid, the gate will automatically open for passengers to pass through.
Passengers follow the signs to the correct train direction according to the train schedule and move to the waiting area. Passengers must keep their cards and tickets to repeat the card and ticket checking steps again at the arrival station.

Updating the situation of passengers experiencing the train on the first day of commercial operation, MRB representative said it was estimated at about 35,000 passengers.
The elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay includes 8 stations: Nhon (S1); Minh Khai (S2); Phu Dien (S3); Cau Dien (S4); Le Duc Tho (S5); National University (S6); Chua Ha (S7); Cau Giay (S8).
In the first 3 months, the metro line opens at 5:30 am and closes at 10 pm. Trains run every 10 minutes. In the following period, depending on passenger demand, the line will be adjusted accordingly to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the line.
