The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Metro Line has just been put into operation and has attracted passengers.

To serve the operation of the trains, on August 8, both the investor, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB), and the operator mobilized more than 300 personnel including officers, engineers, train drivers, and dispatchers at 8 stations of the elevated section to guide and serve people approaching the station and boarding the train.

Mr. Vu Hong Truong, General Director of Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd., said that with the ability to transport 15,000 to 20,000 passengers per hour, if the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station operates at full capacity, it will reduce a large number of private vehicles traveling on Highway 32 from Cau Giay to Nhon.

According to Mr. Truong, before the Cat Linh - Ha Dong train, the 10 km long National Highway 6 from Nga Tu So to Yen Nghia was often congested and there were 5-7 points of frequent congestion during rush hour. However, since the Cat Linh - Ha Dong train came into operation, from 2021 until now, the Department of Transport - Public Security has reported that the congestion points here have continuously decreased.

Of course, reducing private vehicles and reducing traffic jams requires many solutions. However, the fact that every hour, especially during peak hours, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong train can carry thousands of passengers means that the number of private vehicles and people traveling on the Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Ha Dong route will decrease significantly.

Along with that, with a length of 13 km, during rush hour from Cat Linh to Yen Nghia bus station (Ha Dong) and vice versa, if traveling by car or motorbike, it takes from 45 minutes to 1 hour, but if traveling by train, it only takes more than 20 minutes. This journey is always stable, on time and does not depend on traffic conditions on the streets or the weather.

The elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay includes 8 stations: Nhon (S1); Minh Khai (S2); Phu Dien (S3); Cau Dien (S4); Le Duc Tho (S5); National University (S6); Chua Ha (S7); Cau Giay (S8).

In the first 3 months, the metro line opens at 5:30 am and closes at 10 pm. Trains run every 10 minutes. In the following period, depending on passenger demand, the line will be adjusted accordingly to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the line.

About ticket prices: Single ticket (trip ticket), passengers going to one station cost 8,000 VND and going on the whole route cost 12,000 VND/trip. Daily ticket costs 24,000 VND, passengers can travel during the day and the number of trips is unlimited. Monthly ticket for economy class is 200,000 VND/month, students is 100,000 VND/month. Group ticket: 140,000 VND/month.

The Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway is a radial route, running from the outskirts of the capital deep into the inner city. When put into operation, it will help Hanoi traffic reduce pressure on vehicles, congestion, and pressure on bus routes on the same route.

Regarding the connecting transport system, along the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway route, there are 36 bus routes in operation. Of these, there are 33 subsidized routes and 3 non-subsidized routes.

In addition, the route also has 2 passenger transfer points at Cau Giay and Nhon, 32 bus stops in both directions.
