The last two stations, Nhơn and Cầu Giấy have the highest number of passengers. At six other stations along the line, fewer people wait for trains.
At 8 o'clock in the morning, at Nyon station, a lot of people lined up in two lines to be issued train tickets. The operation was carried out by station staff, drivers and security personnel. From ticket sales, boarding and disembarkation were all automated. Inside the carriages there were always crowds. Many passengers had to stand, but everyone seemed very excited.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong (92, Kim Ma, Ba Dinh) and his son Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phương (60), chose the Hanoi Subway as a means of visiting their relatives near Minh Khai Station. "After many years living and working abroad, I am no stranger to trains. But this time, I still have a special feeling", he said.
In addition to the large number of people who came for the experience, many passengers expressed that they would choose the tram as their daily transport. Wu Cong Thanh (63 years old, living in Hoai Đức district) shared: "The journey from Nhoan to Giang is 8. 5 kilometers long but only takes about 13 minutes. I must visit my children every day because they live in Giang".
Nguyễn Hữu Quân, an official working on Võ Chí Công (Tây Hồ) Road said: "I'm about to move my office to Phùng Hung Street, Hà Đông. My house is near the Industrial University of Hanoi so I expect to go to work using two tram lines connected with buses".
Similarly, Le Thi Thu Ha (Phạm Hùng, Nam Từ Liêm) says: "I find it very convenient for commuting to work. Traveling by train not only saves a lot of time but also reduces travel costs and is very safe".
Conveniently connected buses
The Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Project Management Board (MRB) said that the elevated section of this urban railway is managed and operated by MTV Ha Noi Railways Ltd. For the first 3 months, the line will open from 5:30 a. m. , closing at 10 p. m. daily; extending train running time to 10 minutes per trip.
The ticket price for a single station is 8,000 VND, along the entire line 12,000 VND. Day tickets are 24,000 VND valid for one day and have no limit on the number of turns.
Children under the age of 6, people with disabilities, those over 60, and persons with a disability are served free of charge.
Regarding static traffic connections and transport organization, the Hanoi Department of Transportation has coordinated with UBND districts along checkpoints, layout points, parking lots, organized traffic on lines and station areas.
PV's notes show that the system of bus lines and bus shelters are conveniently connected to stations along the Nhơn - Hà Nội metro line.
There are 36 bus routes operating along the route, including 33 subsidized lines: 05, 07, 09A, 09B, 13, 16, 20A, 20B, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 32, 34, 38, 39, 49, 51, 55A, 55B, 57, 90, 92, 105, 117, 146, 161, 162, 163, E05, 56A, 96 and 3 non-subsidized routes: 70A, 70B, 70C.
In addition, along the route there are also 2 passenger transfer points namely Cầu Giấy and Nhổn; There are 32 bus stops (afternoon Cầu Giả - Nhổn 16 point; afternoon Nhổn - Cầu Giữ 16 point).
At 8 stations, the Nhơn - Hà Nội metro line connects to the nearest bus stop with a distance of 0-50m, which is quite convenient for people.
According to Mr. Thai Ho Phương, Director of the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center, Cát Linh - Hà Đông and Nhổn - Hà Nội Station are connected by 9 bus lines including: Lines 29, 49, 57, 05, 27, 38, 90, 105, 09B.
