75 years ago, on April 4, 1949, in the middle of the mountains and forests of ATK Viet Bac, Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School was born. This was the first journalism training facility of the Vietnamese revolutionary press and also the only training facility during the resistance war against French colonialism.
On March 28, 2019, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 1182/QD-BVHTTDL to rank the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School as a National Monument in the area demarcated as a Monument on plot 32, map sheet 47, Tan Thai commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province.
On that basis, on April 4, 2019, the Vietnam Journalists Association coordinated with Thai Nguyen province to solemnly organize the inauguration ceremony of the Monument on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School.

The relief is an image of 48 portraits of the Board of Directors, lecturers and students of the School.
In 2024, to practically celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School, with the desire to effectively exploit and promote the great historical values of the Relic, adding a meaningful destination on the map of contemporary Vietnamese journalism, meeting the expectations of generations of journalists nationwide, attracting domestic and foreign audiences, actively contributing to the propaganda and education of history for the younger generation, the Vietnam Journalists Association in coordination with the People's Committee and functional agencies of Thai Nguyen province has implemented the project of Restoring and embellishing the National Relic of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School in Tan Thai commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province.

Ms. Ha Thi Huong Quynh, head teacher of Tan Thai Primary and Secondary School (Tan Thai Commune, Dai Tu District, Thai Nguyen Province) led students to visit the exhibition area.
On January 18, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for the restoration of the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School National Monument was held. Up to now, after 7 months of construction, with the active coordination of the leaders and departments of Thai Nguyen province, Dai Tu district, Tan Thai commune and the support of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam), the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School Monument project has basically completed the main items.
Journalist Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association said: "We plan to coordinate with the authorities to include the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School relic in the list of tourist attractions of the "Capital of Winds" - the capital of the country during the resistance war against French colonialism, in which Thai Nguyen holds a particularly important position, the central position of the "Capital of Resistance".
We will also step up propaganda to local journalist associations, branches and journalist associations nationwide with the hope that all journalists will clearly see the importance of this relic, thereby considering it a red address for journalists, especially young journalists, to turn to the source, to learn about the glorious history of journalism, listen to stories about generations of predecessors and build for the future of the country's journalism."

National historical site Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School was built on an area of 859m2 with a total cost of about 12 billion VND from socialized capital, invested by the Vietnam Press Museum - Vietnam Journalists Association.
After restoration and embellishment, the relic is expected to be exploited and organized to welcome delegations of visitors, journalists, students and pupils to learn and experience the history of journalism; at the same time, it will be a place to organize conferences and seminars on journalism, organize short-term training programs, issue membership cards of the Vietnam Journalists Association, award ceremonies for regional and local journalism awards, etc.
In particular, the Vietnam Journalists Association hopes that when put into operation, the exhibitions on Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School and Viet Bac War Zone Press here will not only contribute to preserving and introducing valuable press documents and artifacts from the period 1946-1954 but also affirm the great achievements of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press in the struggles to defend the country and in the journey of national construction.
With an effort to not only recreate history but also ensure high aesthetics as well as add necessary functions, in addition to the Monument Stele erected since 2019, the restoration and embellishment process currently has the following components:
* Exhibition house - Miniature museum of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School, in the form of a 80m2 level 4 house built on a high hill, modeled after recorded documents and some remaining documentary images, formerly a bamboo house, now a wooden frame house, with a fireproof artificial thatched roof;
