The village festival began on the morning of March 13 with a palanquin procession and water-granting ceremony. The ceremony is meant to pay tribute to the village's tutelary deity and those who have contributed to the craft village, demonstrating the virtue of remembering the source of water that descendants have towards their ancestors.
