On August 1, in Seoul - Korea, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) officially opened the SCU - PTIT Joint Training Office at Seoul Cyber University (SCU).
Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung witnessed and congratulated the effective cooperation between PTIT and SCU universities.
The program was also attended by leaders of Departments and Divisions under the Ministry of Information and Communications, typical technology enterprises of Vietnam (Viettel, VNPT, CMC, VTC, and HTC); Associate Professor, Dr. Eun-Joo Lee - President of SCU, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, Director of the Academy and representatives of departments of the two schools, representatives of the Vietnamese Student Association in Korea, representatives of the Vietnamese community in 7 provinces of Korea.

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung highly appreciated the training cooperation model between PTIT and SCU.
At the ceremony, highly appreciating the training cooperation model between PTIT and SCU, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said that the model is typical of digital university development. This is a meaningful program for the community and for overseas Vietnamese in Korea. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that the digital university model of SCU is an advanced model and a model for Vietnamese universities to refer to in organizing training, operating and producing teaching and learning content according to the digital university model.

Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) has officially opened the SCU – PTIT Joint Training Office at Seoul Cyber University.
In December 2023, PTIT and SCU signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in academic and vocational education programs; Special short-term academic and language programs; exchange of lecturers, e-learning experts and students; cooperation in research and professional activities. In particular, the two schools will cooperate to open a joint training program in applied information technology and be awarded dual degrees from Vietnamese and Korean universities.
After more than half a year of discussion and implementation of procedures, the Training Cooperation Office at Seoul Cyber University was opened to become a connection point, promoting joint training activities in applied information technology of PTIT according to the digital university model in Korea. The program also aims to train and provide highly skilled human resources, meeting the needs of organizations, businesses and society immediately after graduation, especially for both Vietnamese and Korean businesses.

Graduates will have sufficient knowledge, expertise, professional skills, teamwork ability and adaptability to different working environments, be able to self-study, improve knowledge, master and comply with advances in technology related to software engineering and information systems. In addition, students will meet foreign language requirements (Korean) and have a deep understanding of Korean culture, and can work at Korean companies. According to the program, students will have 2 years of study at the academy and 2 years of study at Cyber University (according to the specific training program of each school).
In addition to the joint training program between PTIT and SCU for students in Vietnam, the joint program also targets the Vietnamese community working and studying in Korea to provide students with the best quality of training and support with visa, accommodation, and employment issues during and after their studies under this program.
The Director of PTIT and the President of SCU affirmed that they will be determined to implement the Joint Training Program to soon have the first students in the fall semester of the 2024-2025 school year.

SCU is one of the top 40 universities in Seoul and the first leading online university in Korea. The university has 9 affiliated colleges, training in various majors such as: Social Sciences, Social Welfare, Business, Engineering, Design, Culture-Arts... In 2024, SCU was selected for the '2nd Distance Education Innovation Support Project' led by the Korean Ministry of Education.
