The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just reported the implementation results in the first 6 months of 2024 and the implementation direction for the last 6 months of 2024 on the "Project on Strategy for the development of Ho Chi Minh City's cultural sector for the period 2020-2035".

Accordingly, regarding the development of the cultural institution system, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology to complete the dossier of the Project on Overall Development of the Grassroots Cultural and Sports Institution System in Ho Chi Minh City by 2035; conduct surveys, statistics, assess the current situation, identify directions, and propose for the grassroots cultural institution system according to the approved Project outline.

Notable among them are institutions such as: the Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Performance Project has started construction and is on schedule; the City Children's Palace construction project has been approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; the Ton Duc Thang Museum new construction project has completed infrastructure and interior construction, and is selecting contractors for display equipment; the Ho Chi Minh City Museum project and the Ho Chi Minh City branch Renovation and Upgrade project are in the investment preparation stage; the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House project has been approved by the City People's Council to adjust the investment policy, and is currently considering the architectural plan...

The two new construction projects of the Traditional Arts Center and the City Cultural Center, proposed by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City in the list of investment projects under the public-private partnership model in the fields of culture and sports, are currently awaiting appraisal by the Department of Planning and Investment according to regulations.
