The “Vaccinate first, pay later” program was implemented to support low-income people to access vaccines. |
The program is implemented to provide financial support and share difficulties with the community to maintain vaccination for children and adults in difficult circumstances.
Previously, from July 2018, VNVC implemented an interest-free vaccine package installment payment program, first for customers with payment cards from partner banks.
In particular, in July 2023, VNVC Vaccination System and Mcredit - a member of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) and SBI Shinsei Bank (Japan) joined hands to come up with a breakthrough solution by allowing customers to "get vaccinated first, pay later" with only a simple credit procedure using Citizen ID and no interest for up to 12 months. In which, all interest is paid by VNVC on behalf of customers.
After only 1 year of VNVC's implementation, the interest-free "Vaccinate first - Pay later" program has reached the first disbursement milestone of 100 billion, supporting nearly 7,000 customers to inject more than 100,000 doses of high-quality vaccines for children and adults such as 6 in 1, flu, rotavirus, hepatitis AB, chickenpox, HPV, meningococcus.
The most popular pre-paid vaccination packages chosen by people are the vaccine packages for children aged 0-12 months and 0-24 months (accounting for more than 70%), mainly serving parents who are workers and employees with low-to-average incomes in companies, factories, and industrial parks; followed by the HPV vaccine package for adolescents and adults, and the vaccine package for women preparing for pregnancy.
