Reopening after the restoration period, from August 1-7, Hai Van Quan relic welcomed more than 15,000 domestic and foreign tourists to admire the construction, check-in, and sightsee.
Hai Van Quan relic is located on the top of Hai Van pass, built during the Tran Dynasty and restored during the reign of King Minh Mang the 7th (1826), at an altitude of 496 meters above sea level. This is not only a famous historical site, known as "Thien ha de nhat hung quan" but also a place to witness heroic feats in the nation's construction and defense.

This relic was ranked as a National Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2017. In December 2021, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to preserve, restore and promote the value of Hai Van Quan relic. The total investment of the project is more than 42 billion VND from the budget of Da Nang city and Thua Thien Hue province, the project implementation period is within 2 years. On August 1, Hai Van Quan relic opened to serve visitors, initially free of charge until the establishment of a suitable ticket price list is agreed upon.
Mr. Hoang Viet Trung - Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center said: "The number of visitors to Hai Van Quan is very large, some days more than 4,000 people, that is a good sign. In the coming time, Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city leaders will agree on the plan for exploitation, operation, ticket sales, security and order, fire prevention and fighting. After agreement, there will be a plan for management, operation, exploitation, and promotion of the value of Hai Van Quan".
