For food production and trading establishments, strictly implement regulations on hygiene conditions of establishments, equipment and tools, knowledge and practices of people directly involved in food production and processing; regulations on the origin of food ingredients, regulations on the use of additives, flavorings, food packaging, product labeling, registration of product declarations/self-declaration of products, preservation of food products; hygiene conditions of places where products are sold, import of food products, product declarations; absolutely do not sell expired cakes, moldy cakes, cakes that do not ensure food safety.
In addition, the units propagate the rights and obligations of consumers in food use; provide guidance on selecting, processing, preserving and using safe food; do not use food additives not listed, not for the right subjects, and in the prescribed dosage.
During this time, departments and branches, based on the management situation, proactively organize specialized or interdisciplinary inspection teams to inspect production, processing, trading and import establishments of food products widely used during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Thanh Hoa: Strengthening diphtheria prevention and control
Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health has just sent an urgent dispatch to medical units in the province, Muong Lat District People's Committee and related units to strengthen the implementation of measures to prevent and control diphtheria according to the fields and areas of management.
Previously, on August 5, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Center for Disease Control recorded the first case positive for diphtheria. The patient is PLM (born in 2007, residing in Doan Ket quarter, Muong Lat town, Muong Lat district).
During the epidemiological investigation, the monitoring team discovered 4 more cases of close contact with the patient showing symptoms of sore throat and 15 close contact cases (F1).
According to the CDC of Thanh Hoa province, the outbreak in Doan Ket neighborhood (Muong Lat town) is complicated due to the discovery of a case with an unknown source of infection.
Muong Lat's vaccination results in recent years have not met requirements due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic and the scarcity of diphtheria vaccines; if not well controlled, there is a risk of an outbreak.
Currently, Thanh Hoa CDC is coordinating with Muong Lat District Medical Center to conduct epidemiological surveillance and investigation; conduct investigation, surveillance and make a list of F1 cases.
Instructions on environmental treatment; take samples of suspected F1 cases to send to Thanh Hoa CDC and the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for diagnostic testing.

Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital continues to organize well the admission, isolation, monitoring and treatment of diphtheria cases in particular and other infectious diseases in general.
Medical units in the province have increased propaganda measures, closely monitored the diphtheria situation in the area, detected early, and prepared plans to prevent and control the epidemic.
Strengthen screening of subjects who have not been vaccinated or have not been fully vaccinated with diphtheria-containing vaccines, especially those in remote, isolated, and border areas where access to health services is limited, to organize vaccinations according to the Ministry of Health's instructions.
Recall of 206 cosmetic products that do not meet quality standards
On August 6, 2024, the Hanoi Department of Health issued Document 3666/SYT-NVD announcing the suspension of circulation, recall and destruction of 206 cosmetic products of Belux Vietnam Production and Trading Joint Stock Company.
206 products manufactured by Belux Vietnam Production and Trading Joint Stock Company (address: 57 Le Huu Tu, Nguyen Khe Commune, Dong Anh District) according to the product list attached to Official Dispatch No. 2622/QLD-MP dated July 31, 2024 of the Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health (with name and address of the organization responsible for bringing the product to market for each product).
The reason is that cosmetic products produced at the facility do not meet the prescribed cosmetic production conditions.
Previously, on June 27, 2024, the Hanoi Department of Health issued Decision 2035/QD-SYT revoking the Certificate of Eligibility for Cosmetic Production of Belux Vietnam Production and Trading Joint Stock Company on the grounds that the company did not maintain the conditions for cosmetic production as prescribed.
On July 11, 2024, the Hanoi Department of Health continued to issue Decision 2375/QD-SYT to revoke the receipt number of the Cosmetic Product Declaration Form registered by Belux Vietnam Production and Trading Joint Stock Company or authorized organizations and individuals to register and distribute cosmetic products in Vietnam.
The Hanoi Department of Health informs cosmetic businesses and users in the area to urgently review and immediately stop selling and using the 206 products mentioned above. The Department of Health requests the health departments of districts, towns and cities to notify cosmetic businesses and users in the area to recall all of the above products; inspect and supervise the recall implementation of the establishments (if any).
For the same reason that the cosmetic products manufactured at the facility do not meet the conditions for cosmetic production according to regulations, on August 5, 2024, the Department of Health also issued a notice to suspend circulation, recall and destroy the cosmetic product Massage Oil (Dai Luc Hoang brand), Announcement Form No. 001715/21/CBMP-HCM, the Company responsible for bringing the product to the market, production: Le Van Cosmetics Production and Trading One Member Co., Ltd., address 2B31/1 Hamlet 2, Pham Van Hai Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
