
World oil prices today
World oil prices fell sharply in today's trading session, August 13 (Vietnam time). WTI crude oil was at 79.53 USD/barrel, down 0.53 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.66%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 80.06 USD/barrel, opening today's session at 79.62 USD/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $81.77 a barrel, down $0.53 a barrel, or 0.64 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $82.30 a barrel and opened today at $81.39 a barrel.
Analysts say concerns about a wider conflict and the risk of tightening access to global crude supplies have pushed oil prices higher. A wider conflict could prompt Israel to target Iranian oil, hampering the country’s crude exports.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 13, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:

The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of August 8. Accordingly, RON 95-III gasoline decreased the most, by VND930/liter, followed by E5 RON 92 gasoline, down VND901/liter. The price of fuel oil decreased by VND858/kg, diesel oil decreased by VND737/liter, and kerosene decreased by VND684/liter. This is the fifth consecutive decrease in domestic gasoline and oil prices.
Gasoline discount today
Discount prices of petroleum products today, August 13, at some domestic petroleum dealers are as follows:
Pvoil applies discount rates on August 13: Oil discount 1,250 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,050 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 850 VND/liter. This discount rate is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on August 13 as follows: Oil discount: 1,200 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,000 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 800 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 13: 95-III gasoline: 1,000; E5 gasoline: 850; oil: 1,250 VND/liter
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices may increase.
Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 15 times. Oil prices have increased 15 times and decreased 16 times.
