At 9:15 a.m. on August 9, the price of SJC gold bars sold by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) and commercial banks was VND78.5 million/tael, stable compared to yesterday. This is also the lowest price of gold bars in the past 2 weeks.
In the opposite direction, SJC Company listed the buying price of SJC gold at 76.5 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, the price of 24K gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds increased again, when SJC Company bought at 76.15 million VND/tael, sold at 77.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 200,000 VND compared to yesterday.
Gold ring price increased again this morning
In the international market, precious metals increased strongly again, exceeding 2,400 USD/ounce.
At 9:15 a.m., Vietnam time, the world gold price was trading at 2,425 USD/ounce, a sharp increase of about 35 USD/ounce compared to the previous session (equivalent to an increase of 1 million VND/tael).
The world gold price has been fluctuating strongly in recent days, with a daily fluctuation range of 30-50 USD/ounce. The strong increase in the world gold price while the domestic market is stable has helped to narrow the gap between SJC gold price and the world price.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 74.1 million VND/tael, 4.4 million VND/tael lower than the price of SJC gold bars.
