TPO - Late in the afternoon of August 7, the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB - the investor) announced that the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station train will run on the elevated section from the morning of August 8. During the first 15 days, the train will carry passengers for free.
Specifically, the reporter of MRB Board - the investor of Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway project said that from 8:00 a.m. on August 8, 2024, the 8.5km elevated section from Nhon to S8 station (Cau Giay) of urban railway line No. 3, Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section, will officially be put into commercial operation to serve passengers.
The elevated section from Nhon to Cau Giay has 8 stations for passengers to get on and off, and access the train, including: Nhon (S1); Minh Khai (S2); Phu Dien (S3); Cau Dien (S4); Le Duc Tho (S5); National University (S6); Chua Ha (S7); Cau Giay (S8). “In the first 3 months, the following will be implemented: Opening time: 05:30; Closing time: 22:00; Train running interval: regularly 10 minutes/trip. The first day of opening the route will start at 8:00. In the following time, depending on passenger demand, adjustments will be made accordingly to best meet the travel needs of passengers on the route,” MRB announced.

To facilitate people in Hanoi to access and experience the train, MRB said that it will implement a free ticket policy for priority subjects of the city. During the first 15 days of commercial operation, all passengers will be served free of charge.
Regarding ticket prices after the free period, MRB said that the ticket price for one trip (trip ticket) to one station is 8,000 VND, for the whole route is 12,000 VND/trip; the daily ticket price is 24,000 VND, valid for one day and has no limit on the number of trips. Monthly ticket price (general, priority): General: 200,000 VND/month; Priority for students is 100,000 VND/month. Group ticket: 140,000 VND/month.
In order for the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station train to operate and connect with passengers conveniently, MRB also said that the plan to increase connection and transfer passengers by bus has been completed by the Hanoi City Traffic Management and Operation Center. Accordingly, along the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway route, there are 36 bus routes in operation. Of which, there are 33 subsidized routes and 3 non-subsidized routes; 2 passenger transfer points at Cau Giay and Nhon; 32 bus stops (16 stops on the Cau Giay - Nhon route, 16 stops on the Nhon - Cau Giay route).
According to MRB, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway is a radial route, running from the outskirts of the capital deep into the inner city. When put into operation, it will help Hanoi traffic reduce pressure on vehicles, congestion, and pressure on bus routes on the same route.
