The project to expand Duong Quang Ham Street (from Binh Thanh District to Go Vap Cultural Park) has an investment capital of 2,300 billion VND with a design of 6 lanes, 32m wide. The first part of the project has now taken shape.

The project to expand and upgrade Duong Quang Ham Street (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) started in early August 2023. The entire project is divided into 3 packages, the first package from the beginning of the route (Binh Thanh District) to Nguyen Thai Son Street, the second package from Nguyen Thai Son Street to Road No. 2, the third package from Road No. 2 to Nguyen Van Luong Street (Go Vap Cultural Park).
Up to now, at the sections where the land has been allocated, construction units are relocating and re-establishing infrastructure and starting construction.
In the coming time, the locality will continue to hand over the remaining land to speed up the project completion progress (about 400/425 households have been handed over).
Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Luong Minh Phuc - Director of the HCM City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) - said that the investor is urging the construction unit to build Duong Quang Ham Street (work as soon as the site is available).
"In order for this project to be constructed continuously, according to the target of opening to traffic by the end of 2024. However, we really need support from local authorities and related units in handing over the site and relocating technical infrastructure," said Mr. Phuc.
Duong Quang Ham Street is one of the important backbone roads of Go Vap district, sharing traffic with several roads such as Phan Van Tri, Le Duc Tho, Quang Trung... Therefore, when the expansion is completed, the traffic infrastructure in Go Vap district will have many significant improvements.
