The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Decision No. 2045/QD-BGDDT to the Departments of Education and Training and People's Committees of localities on the regulation of the 2024-2025 school year time plan framework for preschool education, general education and continuing education.

The Ministry of Education and Training has issued a framework for the 2024-2025 school year for preschool, general education and continuing education nationwide, according to which students will return to school at least 1 week before the opening day. For grade 1 students, they will return to school at least 2 weeks before the opening day.

Finish semester I before January 18, 2025, complete the program and end the school year before May 31, 2025.

Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and consider recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30, 2025.

Complete enrollment for first grade classes before July 31, 2025.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025.

Regarding the principles of building the local school year schedule, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates: The local school year schedule must ensure 35 weeks of actual study (semester I has 18 weeks, semester II has 17 weeks). The school year schedule must be suitable to the characteristics and practical conditions of the locality.

Holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines. Teachers' annual leave is implemented during the summer vacation or can be arranged alternately at other times of the year to suit the specific characteristics and school year schedule of the locality.

The school year schedule needs to ensure consistency for all levels of education in a residential area, especially in general schools with many levels of education.
