The rainy area in the South is shrinking, only happening locally. However, the meteorological agency warns that in August, the North, South and Central Highlands will have many days of heavy rain.

According to meteorological experts, the main weather pattern in Ho Chi Minh City for the past two days has been sunny during the day (sometimes hot, with the highest temperature reaching 33-34 degrees Celsius). However, from about 5 p.m. onwards, thunderstorms will occur, causing localized showers.

The forecast for August 2 and the weekend is similar. On Sunday, August 4, temperatures could reach 35 degrees Celsius.

The cause of local thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening is due to the hot temperature background filled with moist air from the weak southwest wind creating thunderstorms.

According to weather experts, after a series of widespread rains across the South 5 days ago, Ho Chi Minh City and the entire South are currently experiencing sunny days with only scattered, scattered showers in the afternoon. It is not until early next week that widespread rains may return.
