On August 13, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province had a working session with departments, branches and localities on the progress of compensation and site clearance for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project and Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Long Thanh District People's Committee, the site clearance for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project is progressing positively. To date, the district has approved compensation plans for more than 1,844 cases, equivalent to about 161 hectares out of a total of 290 hectares to be recovered (reaching 66%). Of which, the district has handed over more than 122 hectares of land to the investor.
For the project through Bien Hoa City, the area to be recovered is more than 59 hectares of land, equivalent to 1,125 plots of land. To date, the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City has completed the approval of the compensation plan for more than 36 hectares of land, accounting for about 63% of the total area to be recovered. At the same time, more than 21 hectares of land has been handed over to the investor for construction, equivalent to about 36% of the total area.
With the Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City project, Nhon Trach district has approved the compensation and support plan for 798 affected households, reclaiming about 65 hectares of land. All compensation and support cases in the district have also been approved. To date, the locality has handed over nearly 76% of the total land area, equivalent to more than 49 hectares, to the investor.

At the meeting, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, acting Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, said that the site clearance for Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 section through the province was very slow, affecting the overall progress of the project. In particular, Dong Nai was twice late in handing over the site for Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway as committed to the Government.
Therefore, Mr. Duc requested relevant units to focus all resources and resolve all problems, ensuring the completion of the site clearance target for both projects before August 30. Particularly for the Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City project, Nhon Trach district must complete the site handover in August.
“Localities must concentrate their forces to work day and night according to the proposed plan. If any locality has not finished by the deadline, the local leader must review and take responsibility with the Provincial People's Committee,” Mr. Duc emphasized.
