The event was held for the first time in Vietnam, gathering global technology giants such as Google, Nvidia, IBM, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell.
This affirms Vietnam's position as an attractive destination for investment and high-tech development, especially in the fields of AI and semiconductors.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC), emphasized: "AISC is an academic exchange forum, an opportunity for Vietnam to gradually participate in the regional technology race.

The event will help domestic enterprises orient their development strategies, expand international and regional connections, and seek cooperation opportunities in the sustainable development of the high-tech industry."
Vietnam promotes strong development of AI and semiconductors
Vietnam is entering an era of growth with strong investment in science and technology, especially in key areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and IoT.
The Party and State are promoting the implementation of many investment policies and initiatives aimed at creating a favorable ecosystem for the explosive development of advanced industries.
In particular, Resolution 57 sets strategic goals, creating breakthroughs in research and application of technology, innovation and digital transformation; building a sustainable innovation ecosystem, promoting domestic enterprises to develop core technology and increase value. Promoting education and training of high-quality human resources, especially in advanced science and technology fields.

This is considered the foundation to attract technology giants around the world to cooperate and invest in Vietnam.
The comprehensive efforts of the Vietnamese Party and Government are creating an increasingly favorable environment for the development of the AI and semiconductor industries, demonstrating the country's strategic vision in seizing opportunities from the 4.0 industrial revolution.
The combination of strategic vision, preferential policies, infrastructure investment and building an innovation ecosystem helps Vietnam attract the attention of the world's leading technology corporations, affirming its position as a potential destination in the high-tech field.
The AISC 2025 conference held for the first time in Vietnam is a clear demonstration of this.
Dr. Christopher Nguyen, founder of Aitomatic, shared at AISC: "The efforts of the Vietnamese Government in promoting the development of AI and semiconductors are showing the right direction, in line with the shifting trend of the global technology value chain.
The AISC 2025 Conference shows strong interest from the international community, affirming Vietnam's attractiveness as a strategic destination in the high-tech sector. The combination of national vision and international investment needs of developed economies such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, etc. has created great attraction for the AISC Conference, opening up many important opportunities for the development of the AI and semiconductor industries in Vietnam."

On the first day of AISC, SemiKong - an open source AI model - was introduced to the Vietnamese technology community.
This pioneering model, which optimizes chip manufacturing, is the result of a collaboration between Aitomatic (USA), Tokyo Electron (Japan) and FPT Software (Vietnam).
SemiKong was born in the context of increasing demand for open-source AI platforms, which play an important role in improving speed, accuracy and productivity for high-tech manufacturing sectors.
The launch of this platform in Vietnam marks an important step forward in the technological mastery of domestic enterprises, opening up opportunities for Vietnam to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor manufacturing value chain.
Innovation through AI
The opening session of AISC 2025 provided multi-dimensional perspectives on the intersection of AI and semiconductor technology, bringing together major experts in both fields.
Dr. Anna Goldie from Google DeepMind gave a presentation about AlphaChip, Google's revolutionary step in the field of AI-powered microchip design.
Leading scientists from Stanford University, Warwick bring pioneering research on AI-based IC design, semiconductor microcircuit scaling, as well as the potential of AI LLM models in specific fields.
Representing Vietnam, Mr. Bui Hai Quan - Vice Chairman of VPBank - presented on the application of AI in the banking sector, when all of VPBank's ecosystems are focused on technology, thereby being used by millions of Vietnamese people.

The opening session emphasized the role of open source AI in innovation and optimization of chip production, opening up opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to access advanced technology and enhance their position in the global supply chain.
In addition, businesses participating in the AISC Conference participate in the international Startup Pavilion - Shark Tank program, where leading investment funds directly listen to and evaluate innovative ideas.
Here, domestic technology companies are quickly connected with senior leaders, present projects within a limited time and can reach important agreements right at the conference, participating in the global technology market.
