Accordingly, the People's Council of Soc Trang province has dismissed comrade Ly Rotha, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, from his position as member of the Provincial People's Committee to take on a new assignment. At the same time, comrade Ly Rotha was elected as Vice Chairman of the 10th term People's Council of Soc Trang province, term 2021-2026.

Comrade Ly Rotha was born in 1972, his hometown is Dai Tam commune, My Xuyen district, Soc Trang province. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025; a delegate of the 10th Soc Trang Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.

Comrade Ly Rotha was a lecturer at Soc Trang Pedagogical College and held the positions of Vice Principal of the Southern Intermediate Pali Cultural Supplementary School; Deputy Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Soc Trang province; Deputy Secretary of Chau Thanh District Party Committee; Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Soc Trang province; Deputy Head of the Propaganda Committee of Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee before being elected as Vice Chairman of the 10th term People's Council of Soc Trang province, term 2021-2026.

At this session, the 10th term People's Council of Soc Trang province unanimously approved 8 draft resolutions. These are important contents, creating a legal basis for the Provincial People's Committee to be proactive in managing and effectively implementing the socio-economic development goals and tasks of Soc Trang province.
