UAE team wins the light competition on Nha Trang Bay
On the evening of August 3, at Hon Tre Island, Nha Trang City, the closing ceremony of the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 took place in a grand and impressive manner with light performances using drones by the French and UAE teams. In the photo, the "Lac bird" - a symbol of strength, sacredness, and origin of the Vietnamese people, was performed by the UAE team. The UAE team, nicknamed “light wizards”, shone brightly in the sky of Vinpearl Habour festival square with light magic that left a strong impression on the audience. The UAE team presented the simplest images from the coffee filter familiar to most Vietnamese people to the image of the Dong Son bronze drum - symbolizing the history and long-standing culture of Vietnam, or the image of the "dragon", "Lac bird" - symbols of strength, sacredness, and origin of the Vietnamese people - "Descendants of the dragon and the fairy", lotus - representing the character and soul of the Vietnamese people... Along with that, some images of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, a dynamic, creative and friendly tourist destination, are also fully recreated in the sky. Through excellent performance, UAE became the champion team. UAE surpassed the teams of China, France and Korea in the first season of the competition. At the closing ceremony of the Nha Trang International Bay of Light Festival 2024, Khanh Hoa province became the first locality in the country to directly set two Guinness World Records with "The world's largest light show of wonders" and "The world's largest light show of Vietnamese cultural symbols - Lac birds". Meanwhile, the French team brought the audience a journey back to the past, to the wonders of mankind built thousands of years ago such as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Sphinx, the lighthouse of the ancient world of Alexandria, the Acropolis - Athens (Greece), the Great Wall, the Roman Colosseum... and the world-famous natural wonder and pride of the Vietnamese people - Ha Long Bay. Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thieu said that with the theme "Convergence of Wonders", the second competition night between the French and UAE teams brought the audience a truly impressive performance. “Khanh Hoa province hopes that the success of the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 will contribute to the success of tourism stimulus activities. With the effect of spreading the image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism, through this event, the province will study and continue to maintain the organization of the annual Light Bay Festival,” Mr. Dinh Van Thieu shared.
