During the past term, the Ha Giang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has effectively implemented the Action Program set forth by the 14th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress for the 2019-2024 term and achieved many important results. The work of the Front in participating in Party and government building, supervision and social criticism has had many positive changes, contributing to the good implementation of the grassroots democracy regulations and promoting the people's mastery. The relationship between the Party, the government, the Fatherland Front and the people has become increasingly close. The position and role of the Fatherland Front at all levels have been gradually affirmed, the great national unity bloc has been increasingly consolidated, strengthened and promoted.

In particular, thanks to good propaganda work, patriotic emulation movements and campaigns have been effectively implemented by the Fatherland Front at all levels. Notably, in the past 5 years, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have called on and mobilized organizations and individuals to donate and support the construction of 1,124 Great Unity houses for poor households with a total cost of over 37 billion VND; coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to mobilize and call for support to build 6,700 houses for meritorious people, poor veterans, and poor households in the province with a total cost of over 700 billion VND. Poverty reduction and new rural construction have had many positive changes. Up to now, the whole province has 51 communes recognized as meeting the new rural standards, 88 villages meeting the new rural standards, 1 district-level unit completing the task of building new rural areas; the annual poverty reduction rate reaches over 4%.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Hoang Cong Thuy said that during the past term, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Ha Giang province have constantly innovated the content and methods of operation, diversified the forms of gathering and promoted patriotic emulation movements. From practical work, many good models and creative ways of doing things have emerged in various fields, having a great influence on the people.

All 5 programs of the Front have achieved many important and comprehensive results. In particular, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have played a core role, mobilizing people of all walks of life to consolidate, strengthen and promote the strength of the great solidarity bloc, creating social consensus in implementing economic and social tasks, ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs of the province. In addition, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have coordinated to organize patriotic emulation movements and campaigns extensively and effectively. Therefore, during the term, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province has received over 55 billion VND, supported the repair and construction of 1,124 great solidarity houses, supported production development, medical examination and treatment and supported poor students.... Thanks to that, the poverty rate in the whole province has decreased by over 4%/year.

Suggesting the tasks of the Front in the coming time, Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy said that the top task of the Front is to build, consolidate and strengthen the great national unity bloc to successfully implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Immediately after the Congress, the Fatherland Front of Ha Giang province urgently disseminated and implemented the Resolution and Action Program of the Congress in conjunction with effectively disseminating and implementing Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated November 24, 2023 of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on "Continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy". Resolutely and effectively deploy 6 action programs as well as groups of targets, tasks and solutions stated in the Resolution, in accordance with the specific situation. Strongly arouse patriotism, self-reliance, confidence and aspiration to build Ha Giang province to develop quickly and sustainably.

In addition, continue to innovate thinking, ways of doing, organize propaganda, mobilize people of all walks of life to participate in patriotic emulation campaigns and movements launched by the Party, State and Fatherland Front with the motto: think honestly, speak honestly, do honestly, get real results, people benefit truly. The focus is on the campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", at the same time pay attention to implementing well two new contents: The emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister and the 6th Program to build residential areas "Self-governed, united, prosperous, happy" ...

"Proposing solutions to propagate and mobilize the elimination of backward customs, practices, and habits, changing thinking and ways of doing things, and building a civilized lifestyle among ethnic people. In addition, promoting cultural values ​​among ethnic people and taking advantage of natural heritage to promote tourism, services, create jobs, and improve the quality of people's lives," Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy shared.

With a high spirit of unity, the Congress passed the Resolution of the 15th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Ha Giang province, term 2024 - 2029 with 3 breakthroughs and 8 main targets. The Congress consulted and unanimously elected 80 delegates to join the Ha Giang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XV, term 2024 - 2029 and consulted to elect a delegation to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029, including 7 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates. At the first meeting of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XV, Mr. Vang Seo Con, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XIV, continued to be consulted and elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, term XV, term 2024 - 2029.
