Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Committee of the Central Business Bloc since its establishment, including more than 3 years of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and nearly 4 years of implementing the Resolution of the 3rd Party Congress of the Bloc. The activities of the Party Committee of the Central Business Bloc have become increasingly orderly and stable with the regulations and rules issued synchronously, specifically and clearly.

He emphasized that under the leadership of the Party Committee of the bloc and Party Committees at all levels in enterprises, state-owned enterprises have performed their political tasks well; promoted the leading role of the state economy, in which state-owned enterprises are an important material force, holding a key position, dominating many important sectors and fields, ensuring major balances of the economy, preserving and developing important resources of the country; contributing to promoting economic development, realizing progress, social justice and environmental protection.

However, he noted that the quality and efficiency of production and business activities of some state-owned enterprises are still low, not commensurate with their potential, advantages and resources. The progress of equitization, divestment and restructuring of enterprises is still slow. The capacity to apply science and technology, innovate, participate in value chains, supply chains, adapt to green transformation processes, digital transformation and innovation of corporate governance models still has many limitations and shortcomings. There is still a situation where business leaders and managers are afraid of making mistakes, shirk their responsibilities, and do not promote their exemplary responsibilities and the responsibilities of leaders.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that the Party Committee of the Central Business Bloc and its affiliated Party Committees should continue to focus on leading and directing businesses to strive to overcome difficulties and successfully carry out political tasks; further promote the role and mission in leading, paving the way, attracting and promoting the development of businesses in other economic sectors; form a strong Vietnamese business force that truly becomes a driving force in socio-economic development; contribute to building an independent, self-reliant economy and deep international integration.

State-owned enterprises need to focus on key areas, important locations and in national defense and security; operate according to market mechanisms, have modern governance models according to international standards; take economic efficiency as the main evaluation criterion; promote social responsibility; take the lead in implementing the Party's policies and guidelines on improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy.

He also requested the Party Committee of the Central Enterprise Bloc to continue researching and synchronously perfecting the models of party organizations and socio-political organizations in enterprises; Party committees at all levels in state-owned enterprises need to grasp the domestic and international situation well; focus on Party building and building high-quality human resources; carry out well the work of inspection, supervision and development of party members; promote the responsibility of leaders; carry out well the work of training and fostering managers with professional capacity and pure political and moral qualities.
