More than 75 years ago, in 1949, the resistance war against France entered a fierce phase. The task of promoting press propaganda to carry out revolutionary tasks in the period of preparing for the general counter-offensive and the successful general counter-offensive under the direction of President Ho Chi Minh, was proactively carried out by the Viet Minh General Department and the Resistance Press Group with the initiative to promote the establishment of the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School.
The establishment of Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School is a special milestone associated with the glorious journey of journalism under the guidance of President Ho Chi Minh - the first teacher of revolutionary journalism, the genius leader of our nation.
Following his teachings, the School Board of Directors was established with 5 members: Mr. Do Duc Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Viet Minh General Department as Director, Mr. Xuan Thuy as Deputy Director. Within 3 months, from April 4, 1949 to July 6, 1949, the school successfully organized its special short-term training course.
