Appearance of the 2,500 billion VND Vietnam Military History Museum after completing phase one

The 2,500 billion VND Vietnam Military History Museum has basically completed phase one and is expected to open to visitors by the end of this year.

To promote the historical value of artifacts to the public, the Vietnam Military History Museum is being invested in a new, large-scale and modern construction in Tay Mo and Dai Mo wards (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi city).

In phase 1, the Museum will display 6 themes according to historical processes, large outdoor artifacts in the front and it is expected that the exhibition content of phase 1 will be put into operation, serving visitors by the end of 2024.

Phase 2 of the project will display on the second and third floors with 8 themes, 7 collections and 12 military specialties.

Outdoors are spaces for experience, interaction, and display of sculptures as well as restoration areas of typical military structures such as: Bach Dang stakes, Dien Bien Phu battlefield, Truong Son route, Cu Chi tunnels...

These days, construction units are rushing to complete many items, preparing for the public launch day. Along with the progress of the Museum's construction, it is known that the Museum is currently actively coordinating with other units to deploy the indoor exhibition content.

For the Vietnam Military History Museum, the most typical in the system of artifacts are 4 National Treasures, including 2 MIG-21 aircraft, serial numbers 4324 and 5121, T54B tank serial number 843, and the Map of determination to fight in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

Besides the 4 National Treasures, the Museum also has many unique artifacts associated with characters and events that created miracles in the two resistance wars against France and the US.

Among them are large weapons and equipment that have been brought back and are currently displayed both indoors and outdoors at the Museum, such as the S-75 equipment set used during the resistance war against the US as well as in the period after 1975.

After the Museum is inaugurated and put into public service, it will certainly be a cultural institution, an ideal destination for domestic and international visitors to see, admire and learn about the historical traditions through thousands of years of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people.

At the same time, it helps the public better understand the military art of fighting and defending the country of our ancestors from ancient times to the Ho Chi Minh era as well as in the current period of building and defending the Fatherland.
