Accelerate the application of research to master high technology

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Le Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of High Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, said that since 2008, the Law on High Technology has been issued by the Vietnamese National Assembly with many different goals and tasks; including "accelerating the application, research, mastery and creation of high technology and high-tech products".

Along with that, the Ministry of Science and Technology also issued the National Program for High-Tech Development to 2030, applied to many fields, focusing on key areas such as research and application of high technology in economy, industry, agriculture; incubation of high-tech enterprises, high-quality human resources...

According to Mr. Nghiem Quoc Dat, Department of High Technology, the 2020 High Technology Program has produced many high-productivity projects such as the project "Research, development and mastery of the technological process of producing angioplasty balloons and drug-coated stents using nanotechnology", the project "Perfecting the technology of manufacturing Robots for training"...

Meanwhile, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hoai Quoc, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Automation Association, said that currently, the trend of research on technology mastery and product and service development of a number of automation organizations and enterprises is moving towards environmentally friendly criteria, including the application of artificial intelligence (AI); digital transformation; smart factories and green transformation, ESG (environment, society, governance) on production systems.

Thereby, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hoai Quoc proposed a number of research directions, including focusing on the application of generative AI in automation; digital transformation from the production of new-generation components and sensors to system integration; green transformation applied in the production of industrial machinery and automatic equipment.

To participate in the High-Tech Science and Technology Program until 2030, projects must be on the list issued by the Prime Minister; be able to register for intellectual property protection; have clear goals, consistent with the approved High-Tech Program Framework; and be able to mobilize external resources to ensure successful project implementation (finance, human resources, etc.).
