Recently, Da Nang has proposed Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha to direct the Ministry of Planning and Investment to review and promptly respond to two dossiers submitted by interested investors; as well as report to the Prime Minister for consideration on the overall investment calling plan for Lien Chieu port.

Da Nang has started the investment project to build Lien Chieu port (shared infrastructure) and is implementing the project on schedule.

The city has reported and proposed to the Prime Minister to choose a comprehensive and synchronous investor option for Lien Chieu port (with investment phases according to the planning).

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has a unified policy in the official dispatch dated December 8, 2023 with the content: "Completing the investment plan to build Lien Chieu port and Da Nang seaport to ensure comprehensive, synchronous, modern, and optimally effective development...".

Based on this directive, Da Nang has completed the approval documents and submitted them to the Ministry of Planning and Investment. At the same time, it has reviewed current regulations on bidding, investment and other relevant laws, and proposed solutions for investors who have submitted documents to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Recently, the city had a working session with two investors who are submitting investment proposals for two berths of Lien Chieu port. Based on the results of the work and discussions with the investors, the city has reported to the Prime Minister and relevant ministries.

It is known that Lien Chieu port is a key project expected to help Da Nang make a breakthrough.

In Resolution No. 136 of the National Assembly on organizing urban government and piloting a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city, which has just been issued, there is a list of industries, occupations, and priority projects to attract strategic investment into the city.

Specifically, investing in construction and business of infrastructure of functional areas in Da Nang free trade zone, including trade - service area with investment capital of 3,000 billion VND or more; logistics center associated with Lien Chieu seaport with investment capital of 3,000 billion VND or more; production area with investment capital of 3,000 billion VND or more.
