Reuters quoted a DNC official on August 12 as saying that the committee will spend $300,000 to register 9 million Americans living abroad to vote in the upcoming election.
The funding to Democrats Abroad, which represents U.S. Democrats abroad, will be used to pay for voter registration campaigns and information on how to vote abroad. The campaign will focus on Mexico and Europe, where the largest groups of Americans live abroad.

DNC officials say there are more than 1.6 million Americans from the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin living abroad and they will work to win every vote from these communities.
These are all important states for Vice President Harris or former US President Donald Trump to win the race to the White House.
When will Trump and Harris debate?
"The DNC will do everything it can to ensure that Kamala Harris becomes the next president of the United States. This election will be decided by a hair's breadth, and with just three months until Election Day, every vote matters, including the votes of those working or living abroad," the DNC said in a statement.
Last week, Ms. Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, campaigned in several battleground states and attracted thousands of attendees.
Those efforts have helped Harris lead Trump by 4 percentage points in separate polls of voters in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania conducted by The New York Times and Siena College. Earlier, in a Reuters/Ipsos national poll on August 5, Harris also held a 5 percentage point advantage over Trump, 42% to 37%.
Recently, on August 11, former US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced her support for Ms. Harris's election campaign at a fundraising event in California, and received a donation of more than 12 million USD for the Democratic Party.
