Accordingly, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh province for the 2024-2029 term with the theme "Enhancing the core political role of the Fatherland Front, expanding democracy, promoting the strength of Great Unity and Kinh Bac spirit, building Bac Ninh province into a centrally-run city" will take place on August 21 and 22 at Kinh Bac Cultural Center, Bac Ninh province.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Thi Ha informed at the press conference: The 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh province is an important political event, a broad political activity within the entire Party, government and people of all walks of life in the province; aiming to raise awareness of the entire political system and people of all walks of life about the Great National Unity bloc, the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front according to the provisions of the 2013 Constitution; mobilizing people to promote patriotic emulation movements and campaigns to welcome the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

During the 2019-2024 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh province has successfully carried out the tasks of propagating, mobilizing, and gathering people of all walks of life; consolidating, enhancing, and promoting the strength of the Great National Unity to build and defend the Fatherland.

In the campaign “All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas”, all people have actively participated in contributing to the construction of public welfare works with more than 1,820 works serving the construction of new rural areas. Many production models have been widely replicated and highly appreciated by the people.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Bac Ninh province mobilized 119,850 billion VND. From the "For the Poor" fund, it supported the construction and repair of 1,162 Great Solidarity houses with a budget of 83,721 billion VND; supported production development, poor students who overcome difficulties to study well, poor patients to receive medical examination and treatment, and took care of Tet for the poor and poor households affected by the Covid-19 pandemic with an amount of 10 billion VND. Up to now, the poverty rate has decreased to 0.75%, down 0.876% compared to the previous term.

The Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province at all levels organized a campaign to mobilize social resources for Covid-19 prevention and control and the Vaccine Fund with a total budget of VND 425,894 billion. From the mobilized funds, the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province allocated them to effectively serve the Covid-19 prevention and control work in the whole province.

In addition, 8 monitoring sessions were organized to monitor the deployment and implementation of epidemic prevention measures.

Over the past 5 years, the Bac Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has developed a monitoring plan by reviewing and studying 34 reports; contributing comments to 357 draft documents of member organizations, agencies, and departments; establishing 21 monitoring delegations; coordinating with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Standing Committee, and committees of the Provincial People's Council to monitor 195 meetings. The district and commune-level Fatherland Front has organized 670 monitoring meetings.

Regarding personnel work, the number of members of the Bac Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 14th term is expected to be 79, 4 more, an increase of 5.3% compared to the previous term, of which 26 will be re-elected and 53 will be newly elected. Regarding the personnel structure, there will be 23 non-Party members, 6 religious members, and 21 female members.

The Standing Committee has 9 members, including the Chairman, 3 Vice Chairmen, and 5 Standing Committee Members. The Congress will consult and elect the Chairman, 3 Vice Chairmen, 4 Standing Committee Members, 1 Standing Committee Member to complete the organization, and send a delegation to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The content of the Congress is to summarize and evaluate the results of the implementation of the action program for the 2019-2024 term, build an action program for the 2024-2029 term to contribute to the successful implementation of socio-economic goals according to the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress and orientation to 2030, vision to 2045; participate in contributing to amending the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and contributing to the draft documents of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

At the same time, the action program for the 2024-2029 term also aims to improve the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy and overseas Vietnamese affairs; continue to innovate the organizational apparatus, improve the capacity of the Front's staff at all levels; and build a "Self-governed, united, prosperous and happy" residential area.

The total number of official delegates attending the Congress is 380 people, and 140 are guest delegates. In terms of professional qualifications, 6 delegates are PhDs, 72 delegates are masters, 228 delegates have university and college degrees, and 24 delegates have intermediate qualifications.
