On the morning of December 18, the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Writers Association in the North Central region (2025 - 2030) took place in Thanh Hoa City.

On the side of Thanh Hoa province, there were comrade Dao Xuan Yen, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of leaders of departments, agencies and branches and a large number of writers, poets, and critics who are members of the Vietnam Writers Association in the North Central region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri).

During the 10th term (2020-2025), the Vietnam Writers' Association has had many exciting activities, achieving many results on many fronts. Vietnamese literature continues to move in a more diverse, drastic and proactive direction. Diversity does not stop at content but also in form of expression. Dozens of creative camps have been opened, creating conditions for members to have the opportunity to practice, focus on composing, and complete works; the Association's secondary agencies such as: Van Nghe Newspaper, Nha Van Va Cuoc Song Magazine, Vietnam Literature Museum, Writers' Association Publishing House, Copyright Protection Center... have many innovations in their activities, keeping up with the trends of the times... In addition, the Association focuses on reviewing and awarding awards. The Association's annual award system has been supplemented with children's literature awards and young author awards.

During the process of movement and development with the country's literature, the North Central region has achieved many important results. Writers and poets of the Writers' Associations of the North Central region have contributed many valuable works, reflecting achievements in all aspects of life.

The movement and development of literature in the North Central region with published publications, State awards, Central and local awards with its spread in the country and region has affirmed the position of literature in the North Central region in the national literary scene and in the hearts of readers.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, highly appreciated the contributions of Vietnamese writers in the North Central region in general, and Thanh Hoa writers in particular. Thanh Hoa is a land of "spiritual land, talented people", rich in historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions, always playing an important role in the history of building and defending the country. In particular, nearly 80 years ago, Quan Tin village in Thanh Hoa was the "cradle of resistance culture". Here, many writers, poets, and critical theorists were trained and produced many famous works serving the resistance and national salvation. Promoting the traditions and values ​​of good cultural sources, in recent years, Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province have always paid attention to leading and directing the promotion of the construction and development of literature and arts in Thanh Hoa province. Thanh Hoa's literature and arts have had many innovations and developments, keeping up with new trends.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also affirmed that the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Writers' Association in the North Central region held in Thanh Hoa is an important cultural event. This is an opportunity for writers to meet and exchange, and he hopes that delegates attending the Congress will take the time to visit and explore famous scenic spots and historical and cultural relics, thereby better understanding the land and people of the hospitable Thanh Hoa.

At the Congress, members of the Vietnam Writers Association in the North Central region frankly expressed their views and concerns about issues that need attention in creative activities and the Association's work. Such as post-war issues, national reconciliation; the need for innovation in literary creation not only in content but also in form of expression, the "acceptance" of new creative methods; innovation to keep up with the "breath" of life, the times... And especially, literature needs to have "aspiration" to go further.

Besides, the writers also mentioned the issue of "exchange", continuing to compose poetic works with the "identity and uniqueness" of the land and people of Central Vietnam.

After all, each writer needs to return to his own writing story. Literature is not an easy path, each writer himself - the writer who wants to go long, go further on that path, in addition to talent, needs courage, dedication, to go to the end of the truth, to the end of joy, sadness... to go to the end of the reality of life.
