On August 12, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued a plan to relocate, clear, and rebuild three expired apartment buildings in the area.

Accordingly, the apartment buildings that need to be relocated and cleared are the Lam Dac San Hoa Cuong apartment building, the Thuan Phuoc apartment building (both in Hai Chau district) and the Hoa Minh apartment building (Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu district).

These apartment buildings have 18 blocks and 648 apartments. Of these, 621 households are living there with about 2,000 people.

According to the plan of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the time to carry out procedures, implement relocation and clearance of apartment buildings is from now until the end of 2025.

It is expected that the demolition of the apartment building will be carried out after all households have been relocated. The funding for relocation and clearance will come from the city People's Committee budget.

After relocation, the land of Lam Dac San Hoa Cuong apartment building will be used to build a park, community center, and parking lot after clearance; the land of Thuan Phuoc apartment building will be used to build a park and parking lot, and the land after clearance of Hoa Minh apartment building will be used to build apartments.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City also assigned relevant departments, branches and localities to carry out procedures to implement the social housing project at the Hoa Minh apartment complex and land plot No. 10 Trinh Cong Son.

As reported by Giao Thong Newspaper, at several meetings of the Da Nang City People's Council, delegates raised the issue of nearly 650 households with about 2,000 people living in dilapidated apartments that could collapse at any time in the Lam Dac San Hoa Cuong, Thuan Phuoc, and Hoa Minh apartment buildings, but did not know where to relocate.

Since 2017, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City has assessed that Hoa Minh and Thuan Phuoc apartments will expire in 2020. However, up to now, there are still thousands of people living in these apartments.
