DNVN - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Le Van Trung said that voters and people of the city are worried when the number of businesses in the area having to stop operations, dissolve and withdraw from the market is still increasing.
According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, in July 2024 (from June 16 to July 15), the city granted new registration certificates to 348 enterprises, branches and representative offices (DN) with a total registered charter capital of VND 965.42 billion; a decrease of 2% in the number of enterprises and a decrease of 17.5% in newly registered capital compared to the same period in 2023 (equivalent to 355 enterprises with registered capital of VND 1,170.2 billion).
Businesses coming to transact at the "one-stop" department of the Department of Planning and Investment of Da Nang are quite sparse.
The number of enterprises returning to operation in the first 7 months of 2024 increased by 5.1% compared to the same period in 2023 (equivalent to 1,244 enterprises compared to 1,184 enterprises in the same period in 2023). However, the number of enterprises registering for temporary suspension still increased by 12% (3,497 enterprises compared to 3,124 enterprises in the same period in 2023). In addition, from the beginning of 2024 to now, the city has completed dissolution procedures for 437 enterprises, an increase of 18.1% compared to the same period in 2023 (equivalent to 370 enterprises).
At the 19th session of the 10th term Da Nang City People's Council (July 29-30), Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Trung acknowledged that in recent times, the City People's Council and People's Committee have proactively focused all resources, promptly issued and concretized many support policies for businesses, creating favorable conditions for businesses to operate effectively.
However, Mr. Le Van Trung said that voters and people of Da Nang City are worried when the number of businesses in the area that have to stop operating, dissolve and withdraw from the market is still increasing, significantly affecting the jobs of workers and laborers.
"The city is requested to have timely solutions to remove existing problems and difficulties in mechanisms, conditions and policies so that enterprises can overcome current common difficulties and attract new enterprises to invest and operate," said Mr. Le Van Trung.
