Previously, on the afternoon of March 15, patient HPH (34 months old, residing in Don Due hamlet, Vinh Hoa commune, Vinh Linh district) was taken to Quang Tri General Hospital by his family after discovering that he had swallowed a screw.

At Quang Tri General Hospital, the patient was examined by doctors of the General Surgery Department and ordered an unprepared abdominal X-ray. The results detected a foreign object in the digestive tract, measuring 24.15mm.

Doctors from the General Surgery Department quickly consulted and coordinated with the Functional Exploration Department to perform endoscopy to remove the foreign object that same night.

Up to now, patient H.'s health has stabilized. Doctors at the General Surgery Department are continuing to monitor him.
