On August 12, the Thang Long Project Management Board (under the Ministry of Transport ) worked with the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to prepare for investment in the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project, phase 1.

Informing the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, the Thang Long Project Management Board said that on 30/2024, the Ministry of Transport approved the investment in the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project Phase 1 under the form of public-private partnership (PPP).

After the Project is approved, from September 2024, Thang Long Project Management Board will survey, prepare documents, and place site clearance stakes. By the end of 2024, the site clearance stakes will be handed over to the localities where the project passes through.

Proposed route of Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway

In this project, the site clearance will be carried out once on a complete scale with the total land area to be recovered for project construction being 378 hectares. The site clearance cost is more than 1,450 billion VND.

Along with marking the site clearance, the Management Board is preparing for the bidding to select investors. It is expected that in December 2024, the bidding to select investors for the project will be completed.

Because site clearance always takes a lot of time, the Thang Long Project Management Board recommends that the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee soon establish a compensation, site clearance, and resettlement support council so that the Management Board can contact and coordinate in site clearance for the project.

On the side of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested that the 4 districts where the project passes through, including Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, and Tan Phu, must complete the synthesis of data on site clearance and send it to the Department of Planning and Investment before September 12.

Based on the reported data of the localities, the Department of Planning and Investment synthesizes and submits to the Provincial People's Committee for approval the sub-project of compensation and site clearance of the project, dividing tasks for localities to implement before October 12, 2024.

The Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee also requested the Thang Long Project Management Board to promptly hand over the project's site clearance boundary map to localities to carry out the next steps.

According to the approval decision of the Ministry of Transport, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway is more than 60 km long.

The starting point of the route connects with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, in Dau Giay town; the end point intersects with National Highway 20, connecting with Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway.

The project has a total investment of nearly 9,000 billion VND, of which the capital mobilized by investors is nearly 7,700 billion VND and the State's participating capital is 1,300 billion VND.
