The Asia-Pacific Robocon Competition (ABU Robocon) 2024 will take place at the Quang Ninh Sports Complex, Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City. This is an annual competition organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), a playground for students with a passion for robots from countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region.

The theme of the competition is “Harvest Day,” inspired by rice cultivation on terraced fields. The balls will represent the rice grains that need to be harvested in the fields. The participating robots will have to perform tasks that simulate the rice growing process, from sowing to harvesting.

Vietnam has two representative teams, SKH-AUTOMATION and SKH-CK1 from Hung Yen University of Technical Education.

The event is not only a science and technology competition but also an opportunity for young people to exchange, learn and share experiences.

In addition to the official matches, the Organizing Committee will organize many attractive sideline activities such as: Exchange and sharing of knowledge on programming, robot construction and a tour of Ha Long Bay heritage...

Organizing the Asia-Pacific Robocon Competition in Quang Ninh is an opportunity to introduce the image of Vietnam to international friends. At the same time, affirming Vietnam's position in the field of technology.

It is expected that the entire ABU Robocon 2024 Competition at Quang Ninh Sports Complex on August 25 will be broadcast live on VTV2 channel of Vietnam Television and livestreamed on the social network platform Facebook VTV2 Quality of Life.
